Coatology Guide

At Tails Agogo, we know that grooming goes beyond the salon! That’s why we created Coatology, your go-to hub for brushing tips, shedding solutions, and expert advice to keep every pup looking (and feeling) their absolute best.

Why is keeping a regular brushing routine important?

Brushing your dog not only keeps their skin and coat healthier, but it’s also a great way to share some quality time together! It helps spread natural oils through their fur, encourages hair growth, and gets rid of loose or dead hair. Plus, it saves your vacuum from your pup’s shedding and keeps that freshly groomed scent going longer!

How often should I be brushing my dog?

The answer varies depending on breed, coat type, and individual needs of the pup! For example, longer coated dogs need to be brushed more often to prevent mats and tangles. Short coated dogs typically only need to be brushed 1-2 times a week. Regular brushing also gives the pet owner a chance to do a check over and look for things like lumps, hot spots, and parasites. Always consult a vet or a professional dog groomer is your have any questions!

How often should I bring my dog in for grooming appointments?
